Join MAD Scientist Associates and the Crawford County Park District in completing their wetland creation project at Heckert Preserve! This wetland complex will filter excess nutrients from farm runoff before it reaches the headwaters of the Olentangy River, located near the Preserve.
They’ll be planting over 2,000 native wetland and prairie plugs, as well as several shrubs.
No experience necessary. Families welcome.
MAD Scientist Associates will provide tools for planting. Water and snacks will also be provided.
Meet on-site or travel with the MAD Scientist convoy. They'll be meeting at their office (253 N. State St., Suite 101, Westerville, OH 43081) at 10:00, departing at 10:15.
If you plan on attending, please contact Jenny Adkins (firstname.lastname@example.org). They'd like to get a general head count for planning purposes.
